However, adapting the architectural blueprint to an architecture scale-model, creating the parts, making the molds, trimming the parts, and putting them all together, all still have to be done by human hands. Nobody has figured out a way to automate the technique.

I am thankful that they haven't puzzled out a way to take the individual crafts-men away from the architecture scale model. This job is a dream come true, and I'm glad it can't be done more effectively by machinery. I think it will be quite a long time before anyone puzzles out a different way to do it. If it were a matter of mass manufacturing architectural scale miniatures, it would be a different story. You could make one design and have it created by a piece of equipment. But each architecture scale-model is custom ordered, and so each must be custom made.
